The Master program Human Rights and Conflict Management starts on January 14, 2019. It is open to 28 EU and non-EU candidates (20 positions are expected to be available to EU candidates, 8 positions are available to non-EU candidates). The deadline for the second round applications is 18th September 2018.

Acknowledged by the United Nations Regional Information Centre, the Sant’Anna School postgraduate training centre has developed (over the past seventeen years) a successful Master of Arts in Human Rights and Conflict Management teaching model that integrates the better strategies for resolving conflicts and securing human rights protection. The goal of this student-focused program is to offer a broad spectrum of opportunities so the participating students can start to develop a strong philosophy, ethic and direction towards issues such as human rights, gender violence, and humanitarian emergencies.

Along with the combined theoretical and practical experience, students will engage in open discussions, lectures, seminars and internships (400 hours student teaching, 480 hours internship requirement and project presentation). This interactive course will offer selected participants the opportunity to experience and gain fundamental and relevant skills for a career in human rights protection, peacebuilding, politics and processes of reconciliation.
